A star-studded celebration attended by Donatella Versace and John Legend has marked the official debut of Asia’s first Versace-branded hotel. Here’s what you should know about the glamorous property.

Macau is home to a growing number one-of-a-kind stays, and for classic luxury viewed through the lens of a high-profile Italian fashion house, look no further than Palazzo Versace. It’s one of three distinctive hotel towers within the sumptuous Grand Lisboa Palace Resort on the Cotai Strip.
From the moment of arrival, guests are immersed in the colorful world of Versace. Behind the marble front desk is a representation of the high fashion brand’s home in Milan, Palazzo at Via Gesù, made from over 80,000 hand-laid enamel mosaic tiles. This is the work of Fantini Mosaici—Milanese artisans who have had a long-running relationship with the brand. Fantini Mosaici also clad the entire lobby and lift area in over a million marble mosaic tiles.
Drawing inspiration from the grandeur of Italian palaces, the hotel acts as a no-expenses spared showcase for the brand’s creativity. Framed Versace scarves line the hallways, while uniforms, wall decor, and tableware merge the instantly recognizable Medusa head and Greca motifs with Chinese elements like the chrysanthemum flower and ornate dragons.

Palazzo Versace Macau features 271 lavish rooms and suites spread across 12 floors, each one kitted out with bespoke Versace linens and upholsteries as well as exclusive bath amenities custom-made for the property. Measuring between 55 and 60 square meters, the spacious entry-level Deluxe Versace rooms offer creature comforts such as a pillow menu with eight different ergonomic options. Suites start from 70 square meters and feature their own classically designed lounge area. Situated on the highest guest floor, the palatial two-bedroom Imperial Suite spans 350 square meters and includes an entertainment room, a study, a private space for massages, plus a 10-seater dining room with a dedicated kitchen.
Another drawcard is the hotel’s two Italian restaurants: Don Alfonso 1890, which delivers the authentic flavors of Southern Italy through its multicourse tasting menus; and La Scala del Palazzo, where classic Italian dishes and high tea are served in a beautiful teal-hued dining room.
When it comes to recreational facilities, the wellness spaces encompass private treatment rooms, a Turkish hammam, and both indoor and outdoor swimming pools clad in an assortment of eye-catching glass mosaic tiles. The in-house fitness center, meanwhile, comes stocked with up-to-the-minute Technogym equipment. And with a still-growing array of shops and dining venues found within the integrated resort complex, guests at Palazzo Versace Macau have plenty more to look forward to without stepping out from Grand Lisboa Palace.
