The Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia has unveiled a November-long celebration of body, mind, and spirit.

The Ministry of Tourism of Indonesia has officially launched Wonderful Indonesia Wellness 2025, a national initiative celebrating the nation’s cultural and spiritual heritage through wellness. The program highlights two major festivals, the Royal Surakarta Wellness Festival (RSWF) and the Jogja Cultural Wellness Festival (JCWF). Both showcase the essence of Javanese tradition and the authentic spirit of Indonesian cultural wellness.

A series of activities which kicked off at the beginning of November are on offer until the end of the month, all open to the public to discover more about local wellness traditions.

Royal Surakarta Wellness Festival (RSWF)

15 November 2025 – Royal Dance Symphony | Dalem Mloyokusuman, Surakarta
The graceful movements of royal dance go beyond beauty — they are meditation in motion. Participants can learn the foundational gestures of Surakarta dance emphasizing harmony between body, breath, and awareness.

16 November 2025 – A Holy Journey | Baluwarti & Alun-Alun Utara, Surakarta
In this ritual, participants walk barefoot along the palace walls in tapa bisu (silent meditation in motion), followed by quiet reflection at Tugu Pamandengan — retracing the royal ritual of grounding the mind and uniting with the universe.

22 November 2025 – Javanese Secret Recipe | Lokananta, Surakarta
Participants discover ancient royal recipes to create traditional jamu and herbal scrubs, ending the day with enchanting wayang kertas and wayang wong performances — a perfect closing to celebrate cultural beauty.

30 November 2025 – Closing Ceremony | Asram Edupark, Sleman, Yogyakarta
The festival culminates in Yogyakarta with a celebration that intertwines culture, spirituality, and harmony.

Jogja Cultural Wellness Festival (JCWF)

Following the spiritual journey in Solo, Yogyakarta welcomes guests with a holistic approach to wellness that embraces nature, food, and togetherness. All programs are open to the public with an entry fee of Rp100,000 / US$10.

15 November 2025 – Spiritual Wellness & Energy Healing | Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa
Participants can enjoy a sacred space for healing through meditation, sound baths, reiki, and discussions on life energy and Javanese spiritual philosophy.

22 November 2025 – Natural Beauty, Family & Inner Child | Mustika Yogyakarta Resort & Spa
Reconnecting with the essence of simple happiness, this event offers an opportunity to craft natural skincare, join family yoga, and experience art and play therapy to heal the inner child.

29–30 November 2025 – Harmony in Wellness | Asram Edupark, Sleman
The two-day grand finale unites all festival themes through cross-topic workshops, healing sessions, cultural markets, and captivating performances of music and dance, celebrating the harmony of body, soul, and earth.
