Named after the violet flower native to Japan, <a href="https://www.hyatt.com/grand-hyatt/en-US/jakgh-grand-hyatt-jakarta/dining?DestinAsian">Sumire</a> Restaurant embodies grace and elegance, transporting guests into the tranquility of the Japanese countryside. The interior exudes a feeling of warmth, with the use of dark wood, natural materials, and traditional Japanese partitions adorned with intricate carvings.  
With seating for 188, Sumire includes a teppanyaki counter for 17 guests, a sushi counter that seats 15, a tatami area, and four private dining rooms. 
Premium sushi and sashimi are crafted from ingredients flown in directly from Japan. A must-try is the sushi and sashimi platter. Seafood lovers will also appreciate the Salmon with Butter and Ponzu Sauce and Fresh Lobster with Flying Fish Roe, which can be prepared on request.
For carnivores, Sumire offers exceptional Yakiniku-style options, including Miyazaki A5 Wagyu, Australian rib eye, and MB9-grade beef. Specialty bento boxes are also available, delivering a full spectrum of traditional flavors in one refined package. End your meal with the delightful Matcha Mont Blanc, a memorable creation of matcha cream encased in crispy choux pastry.
