Home today is a shophouse in Purvis Street, (opposite <a href="https://destinasian.com/singapore-dining-tempt-daringly-delicious">Tempt</a>) by way of two locations in Club Street and a growing number of loyal followers and international awards. While the ingredients are homey this is a no frills bar, slick and contemporary in its delivery, with a warm heart. The <a href="https://www.nutmegclove.com/_files/ugd/39dbee_aadbf337bcdc49f287c4131616793e2d.pdf?DestinAsian">latest menu</a> is a celebration of both community and local business. One homage to local heritage is inspired by the bisque pottery of Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle, home to the oldest and only surviving dragon kiln in operation in Singapore. Nutty, creamy and with a little fizz, <a href="https://www.nutmegclove.com/_files/ugd/39dbee_aadbf337bcdc49f287c4131616793e2d.pdf?DestinAsian">Clay It Cool </a>combines Monkey Shoulder blended malt whisky with syrupy Pedro Ximenez sherry and an earthy blend of walnut, carrot and tarragon softened with egg white and topped with London Essence grapefruit rosemary tonic. <a href="https://www.nutmegclove.com/_files/ugd/39dbee_aadbf337bcdc49f287c4131616793e2d.pdf?DestinAsian">Ripple75</a> is a reference to the ice cream carts that used to be a common sight across <a href="https://destinasian.com/category/singapore">Singapore</a>, selling ice cream sandwiched between wafers or slices of rainbow colored bread. This French 75 inspired cocktail is a heady combination of No. 3 London gin, complemented with a host of traditional ice cream flavors and toasted nuts, topped off with prosecco (or champagne at an extra $). Plan on arriving early and leaving late to make the most of the menu.
