<h2><strong>Why stay?</strong></h2>
<p>Descending a verdant hillside to a secluded strip of golden sand, Trisara is renowned for the degree of exclusivity and individual service that it provides. The property was a trailblazer when it opened in 2004, being the first all–pool villa project in Phuket that angled each unit so they would have an uninterrupted sea view, all while preserving the sense of privacy.</p>
<h3><strong>The area</strong></h3>
<p>There isn’t much directly adjacent to the resort and that is a large part of its appeal. While Thailand does not have any privately owned beaches, the only way to access this stretch of coast from inland is via Trisara itself, so it’s as though it were all yours. Sleepy Nai Thon Beach with a smattering of shops and restaurants is a short drive away.</p>

<h4><strong>The feel</strong></h4>
<p>You’re really in your own world at Trisara. There may be public areas, restaurants, a compact beach, and even an uninhabited island you can paddle out to, but you’re really here to bask in the cocoon of your own villa. With friendly, efficient room service just a call away, why would you need anything else? If even that is too much stimulus from the outside world, just place Trisara’s stone angel sculpture by the gate of your villa, and you’ll have no interruptions while you indulge in your own little corner of tranquility.</p>
<h5><strong>Guest quarters </strong></h5>
<p>The pool villas start at a very comfortable 240 square meters. Outdoor areas center on the private infinity pools surrounded by luxuriant greenery. What’s better than contemplating sunset from your own pool? Inside, the wood-paneled bedroom includes a living room corner and a desk, not that you’ll ever want to work. A bathroom with a sunken tub runs the entire length of the villa and includes ample wardrobe space and a door to an outdoor shower. There are also two-bedroom villas available, but if you’re traveling with a crowd, enquire about the sprawling residential villas that go up to eight bedrooms on a private cove with every creature comfort you could want in-villa.</p>
<h6><strong>Food and drink</strong></h6>
<p>Pru,<strong> </strong>the hotel’s flagship restaurant and Phuket’s only Michelin-starred establishment, has just moved to new quarters with a kitchen that is open not just to the dining room but to the surrounding nature and the sea in the distance. Diners and chefs engage directly over a counter that looks right into the kitchen where chef-owner Jimmy Ophorst and his team prepare rare local ingredients like the fruit of Ceylon oak, which grows so high in the trees locals rarely bother to pick it. Also on site, Cielo takes local seafood and gives it a Mediterranean twist, while SaT (Seafood at Trisara) lets you mix and match Southern Thai specialties from both land and sea. Off-site, <a href="https://destinasian.com/jampa" target="_blank" rel="noopener" class="broken_link">Jampa</a> offers an unparalleled farm-to-table experience.</p>

<h6><strong>Wellness factor</strong></h6>
<p>Jara Wellness defines much more than the resort’s spa. Yes, there is a selection of signature treatments with evocative names like Cleansing Ritual and Energy Flow, as well as variations on classic Thai massage that will stretch and pummel your tension away. But from yoga at sunrise or sunset, mindful meditation, and sound therapy, to kayaking, island tours, and beach walks, Jara will have something to keep you fit, in body and in spirit.</p>
<h6><strong>Family matters</strong></h6>
<p>Trisara’s Kids’ Club is an endless source of fun and learning. Children can sign up for the Junior Sea Master program to learn the basics of kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, and more on the water. An educational farm tour includes meeting Kai Toon, one of the resident chickens whose name means “steamed egg.” Back at the resort, there is everything from coconut-frond weaving to fish feeding, parasol painting, soap making, cupcake decorating, and Thai cooking classes.</p>
<h6><strong>Sustainability cred</strong></h6>
<p>The Pru Jampa Farm, located a 15- to 20-minute drive from the property, supplies some of the produce that makes it onto the table at the resort’s restaurants. Once an abandoned open-air tin mine, the place is a painstaking exercise in restoring nature to a brownfield site. One of the best ways to experience the farm is to spend a Saturday afternoon at Hideaway by Jampa, including an alfresco lunch and a tour.</p>
<h6><strong>What else? </strong></h6>
<p>Watch for the opening of Tri Vananda—Trisara’s sister project dedicated to mindful wellness and the home of Jampa itself—in the coming months. Right next door to the Pru Jampa Farm, it promises to be worth the wait.</p>
