Southeast Asia–based travelers can now take advantage of two more nonstop services between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and major European destinations.
Catering to the growing demand for intercontinental air travel, Thailand’s flag carrier is expanding its global reach while improving connectivity for both Asian and European holidaymakers. Thai Airways International has just resumed daily nonstop flights from its main hub at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport to both Milan in northern Italy and the Norwegian capital of Oslo. These services enhance a growing European network for the Star Alliance carrier that already encompasses Brussels, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Istanbul, London, Munich, Paris, Stockholm, and Zürich.
For the Bangkok–Milan route, two-class Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft are scheduled to depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport on a red-eye flight at 12:40 a.m., before touching down at Milan Malpensa Airport at 7:35 a.m. the same morning. The return service is then set to leave Malpensa at 2:05 p.m. and arrive at the Thai capital the following day at 5:55 a.m. local time. The aircraft accommodates 22 Royal Silk Business Class flyers in lie-flat seats in a 2-2-2 layout, as well as 234 economy-class passengers seated in a 3-3-3 configuration.
Meanwhile, dual-class Airbus A350-900 aircraft will be deployed to Oslo, departing from Bangkok at 12:55 a.m. and arriving at Oslo Gardermoen Airport at 7:25 a.m. The return flight will leave Oslo at 2:15 p.m. and land back in Suvarnabhumi Airport at 6:15 a.m. the next morning. Thai Airways’ A350-900s have room for 32 business-class passengers in a 1-2-1 arrangement and 289 economy-class travelers in rows with a 3-3-3 seating plan.
Tickets are competitively priced, starting from US$294 for Bangkok to Milan and US$922 for Bangkok to Oslo. Passengers in other regional Southeast Asian destinations served by Thai Airways can look forward to a comfortable single-stop connection journey aboard its modern fleet of aircraft.
