The newly opened Pan Pacific Jakarta is an understated urban sanctuary for discerning business travelers.

A gleaming beacon of refinement above the hustle and bustle of Indonesia’s commercial hub, Pan Pacific Jakarta offers restful accommodations and the convenience of a city-center location. The highest hotel in town spans the uppermost floors of the 90-story Luminary Tower, a glass-walled skyscraper in the landmark Thamrin Nine development just off the main avenue of Jalan Thamrin. Guests will find themselves a short walk from the Welcome Monument, two world-class shopping malls, as well as an MRT, LRT, and airport rail link station.
Global design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates has given the property a calming, minimalistic look. The 158 rooms, including suites, are equipped with a unique blend of modern and branded amenities; Pan Pacific’s group-wide Happy Sleepers program lets guests customize their pillow menu and enjoy sleep-enhancing drinks and snacks. Club rooms and suites on the highest floors come with access to the 90th-floor Pacific Club, where daily afternoon tea is served in addition to free-flow evening cocktails and canapés.
Also on the topmost level — a journey of 55 seconds from the ground via high-speed elevators — are two F&amp;B outlets. Keyaki, a modern Japanese restaurant helmed by Kyoto-born executive chef Kunihiro Moroi, features a teppanyaki room, a sushi bar, and a private dining area. Patrons can tuck into such delights as tempura prepared using his grandfather’s recipe, salmon sashimi in a monaka wafer wrapping, and fresh seafood with dashi vinegar jelly. Mixologists at next-door Eden Bar pour sustainably minded “Skin to Seed” cocktails to sip at the alfresco terrace or the main lounge.
An all-hours gym and steam rooms await on the 71st floor, as does an indoor pool with a backdrop of steel cross bracing and sweeping city views. It’s the place to unwind while basking in Pan Pacific Jakarta’s unique appeal.
