A chic lifestyle hotel in Kowloon should come top of mind for holidaymakers planning a memorable city break in Hong Kong. Its 546 well-proportioned guest rooms face either Victoria Harbour or the Kowloon cityscape; all were done up in a sleek residential style by the acclaimed interior designer André Fu, who had the accommodations fitted out with plush furnishings, a warm color palette, and marble bathrooms featuring rain showers. Starting from a generous 90 square meters, the hotel’s 24 suites come with sweeping harbour views and access to the exclusive Club Lounge, where guests can enjoy à la carte and buffet breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails and canapes in a serene environment. Even the entry-level Deluxe rooms, which measure in at 42 square meters, are exceedingly spacious by Hong Kong standards.
Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong is unique among the city’s hotels in that nearly all its restaurants have both indoor and outdoor seating. You don’t have to be a drinker to spend a few hours at Red Sugar, the rooftop cocktail bar whose expansive terrace boasts 270-degree-views of Victoria Harbour. It’s just the vantage point for admiring the Hong Kong Island skyline as dusk falls over the city, before heading inside to soak up some live music and choose a drink from the extensive collection of wines and spirits.

Also overlooking the water is Hung Tong, a cozy restaurant that specializes in traditional Cantonese cuisine with a creative twist. Western and Asian fare is served throughout the day at Big Bay Café, where the open kitchens are styled as pavilions themed around cooking techniques (Steam, Grill, Fry, Stew) or types of food (Dessert Lab).
The garden-view Lobby Lounge tempts hungry guests with its modern riffs on nostalgic local dishes: Hong Kong-style comfort food and afternoon tea bites beckon in an inviting, light-filled space. Upstairs, Dockyard is a convivial food hall designed with a gourmet concept, offering a variety of Asian cuisines and tipples from a full-service bar.
No lifestyle hotel is truly complete without a spa and fitness area, and Base Camp, Kerry Sports offers far more than exercise bikes and muscle-training equipment in a 24-hour gym. The facility includes a 25-meter outdoor infinity pool that’s heated during the colder months, a relaxation area with umbrella-shaded sun loungers, tranquil treatment rooms, plus whirlpool hot tubs and saunas.
Getting around is a cinch, as the hotel is a mere five-minute walk from Whampoa MTR station, with the major railway station of Hung Hom slightly farther away in the other direction. The shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui East is also reachable on foot. Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong sits directly above a bus interchange, and right on the doorstep is Hung Hom ferry pier, where guests can embark on a scenic 20-minute boat ride across the water to Central. Taking advantage of this direct yet lesser-known ferry route allows you to see Hong Kong from a whole new perspective.
