Apart from warm Indonesian hospitality and a comprehensive range of amenities, travelers returning to The Westin brand’s seaside resort in southern Bali will find upgraded guest facilities across the board — showcasing the continued evolution of a beloved five-star property that has graced the prestigious Nusa Dua enclave for the past three decades.
The newly refurbished Premium Rooms, each one a spacious 48 square meters, present contemporary Balinese elegance in a soothing color palette. Ergonomic furnishings include the latest version of the Westin Heavenly Bed, ensuring a good night’s sleep, while biophilic design elements bring the outdoors in; Premium Rooms also feature a balcony with a lounger overlooking the resort gardens. In-room amenities include a dual walk-in wardrobe, a 65-inch Smart TV, and Nespresso coffee machine. Bathrooms have been done up in a similarly pared-back manner, with Heavenly Showers in a large compartment, bathtubs, as well as white tea–scented bath products for a touch of indulgence.
Just as significant is the launch of the exclusive two-bedroom Owner’s Penthouse, a serene retreat of more than 240 square meters that’s a vision of modern opulence and refined island living. The personal involvement of the resort owner, Ibu Liliana Tanoesoedibjo, in the design process has lent the penthouse a special character: guests will have the sensation of staying at someone’s beautifully appointed home. No expense was spared in sourcing the finest materials, as evinced by the use of Italian marble, Indian stone headboards, and granite finishes in the luxurious bathrooms, which come with a rain shower and bathtub. The plush living room, complete with a dining area, is complemented by a private pantry. There’s also an extended balcony from which to soak up sweeping vistas of the Indian Ocean. Energy-efficient air conditioning and motion sensor–controlled lighting in the Penthouse adhere to the latest environmental standards.
The recent unveiling of the new-look Premium Rooms and Owner’s Penthouse follows an extensive renovation throughout the resort’s public spaces. A major highlight was the complete revamp of the signature Ikan Restaurant, a romantic beachfront venue for freshly shucked oysters, grilled seafood, and a mouth-watering array of globally inspired dishes.
