Over the past few decades, Shibuya has emerged as one of Tokyo’s most sophisticated and dynamic neighborhoods, while retaining the creative energy that has long defined it. The Design and Atmosphere

The Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel ’s design thoughtfully reinterprets traditional Japanese elements for a contemporary setting. The lobby-level Garden Lounge Zabou, whose name combines the Japanese ideas of “sitting” and “forgetting,” invites guests to slow down and savor the moment. The lounge looks out over a beautiful rock garden created by renowned Japanese designer Shunmyō Masuno, where carefully placed stones and greenery create a serene, contemplative scene that feels far removed from the bustle of Shibuya. This connection to nature is further enhanced in the central lobby with a striking floral arrangement by the Sogetsu school of ikebana, refreshed each month.

Starting from the 19th floor, guest rooms rise above the city to reveal panoramic views across Tokyo’s ever-changing skyline. The hotel is also in the midst of a substantial room renewal. Since 2024, its former Standard Floors have been progressively transformed into new Comfort Floors, with updated interiors designed to bring a more contemporary feel and an enhanced sense of ease for guests. The renovation will eventually encompass floors 19 through 26, with completion scheduled for 2027.

Further enhancements are also planned for the 35th-floor Executive Lounge.
