The Banyan Group’s latest property in Vietnam puts its guests a scenic boat ride from the karst-studded waters of Halong Bay, perhaps the country’s most famous UNESCO World Heritage site. With direct access to Son Hao Beach — a gorgeous sweep of powdery white sand — Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay is also the first internationally branded hotel on Quan Lan Island.
The brand-new resort boasts a collection of 156 spacious rooms and suites, each one furnished with local touches like bedside lamps nodding to traditional lanterns and ceiling fans inspired by conical non la hats. Entry-level accommodations are generously sized at 50 square meters: Bayview rooms look out over the lush resort gardens, while Oceanview rooms afford uninterrupted vistas of the Gulf of Tonkin. All feature rain showers and bathtubs. Guests seeking even more space can opt for the 75-square-meter Junior suites, which come with a walk-in closet, or the apartment-like Angsana suites at more than double the size. Family suites sleep up to four guests in absolute comfort.

Dining experiences at Angsana Quan Lan tap into the rich culinary traditions of Vietnam and the wider region. Authentic street food, for instance, is served at the alfresco Breeze – Beach &amp; Pool Bar, and all-day restaurant Market Place channels the flavors and energy of Vietnam’s markets into its buffet and à la carte options. For a relaxed afternoon, The Sky Bar is the perfect spot to unwind with a curated selection of beers, wines, and spirits while enjoying the sunset. Meanwhile, The Lobby Lounge offers homemade pastries alongside signature Vietnamese coffee, tea, and fresh juices that can be enjoyed either indoors or outdoors with a view of the ocean.
