Architectural details borrow from iconic landmarks, with arches and curves that resemble Thai mid-century movement. Some are inspired by Vidyu Palace, which introduced Western architecture to the area, and Siri Apartment, a 1970s-era residential block by Thai architect Dan Wongprasat. The hotel itself is modelled after the city’s many ‘soi’ (small lanes) to resemble a “vertical neighborhood”, where each part of the hotel differs in ambiance and atmosphere.</p>
<p>Throughout the space are thoughtful local design references, from decorative window grilles to marbled corridors inspired by Bangkok’s footpaths. The curated art collection is the hotel’s true focus, featuring the formative works of Thai female artists. At the property’s front is an immense spiralling sculpture by Aor Sutthiprapha (“Origins Unfold, 2024-2025), pieced together with over 15,000 ceramic tiles of Thai clay sourced from various regions in the country; while a vibrant tapestry by Khun Ploenchan (Mook) Vinyaratn (“Blockwilt, 2026”) welcomes guests upon entering the lobby. Elsewhere, look for the works of Khun Pinaree (Eye) Sanpitak (“Pocket of Nature, 2024-2025”) and Khun Pim Sudhikam (“Apocrypha Scripta, 2025”), where both offer introspective odes to the city.</p>
<p>As for the 244 guestrooms, which vary between 38 and 197 square meters and include a unique Poolhouse with direct access to the 7th-floor pool. Inside is a curated collection of bold portraits and photographic landscapes of the surrounding neighborhood displayed against the spacious rooms of elegant mid-century modern design of warm timber accents, soft neutral curves, and muted pops of color.</p>
