FDAT Architects has brought nature into a monumental indoor setting: 21 stories high, the largest indoor skylit atrium in Southeast Asia has been transformed into a green oasis, with a quartet of sculptural nest-like pavilions with seating areas amid the lush landscaping, and a Skybridge that replicates the experience of a treetop canopy walk. The hotel is now home to over 2,400 trees and shrubs planted across 1,400 square meters, representing more than 60 varieties of flora. The hotel grows a diverse array of fruits, vegetables, and herbs at its rooftop Urban Farm.

Partly irrigated by a rainwater harvesting system, the 150-square-meter Urban Farm on the hotel’s fourth-floor exemplifies the farm-to-table concept at Peppermint. Starting end 2024, in-house guests will be able to join in for a sustainable urban farm culinary tour, harvesting fresh produce and participating in a hands-on cooking session conducted by the hotel’s very own chefs.

The property even produces some of its own energy. 210 solar panels atop the building generate about 350kWh per day. Every day, this is enough to power an average Singapore household’s monthly energy consumption.

And when it is time to step out, guests will revel in the hotel’s convenient location in the Marina Bay, integrated with the Marina Square shopping mall and across the street from Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Center. The property is within walking distance to Esplanade, Promenade and City Hall MRT stations for excursions farther afield.
