This glamorous bar combines substance and style—but don’t turn up fashionably late. Housed in Osaka’s swanky Herbis Plaza mall and a stone’s throw from the Gucci Store, the first Gucci bar outside Italy is dressed to the nines in opulent red and black. Take a break here before shopping, or consider a significant purchase over a cocktail, each one an inspired blend of Italian and Japanese artistry. Try Amalfi Through Seb’s Eyes—a nod to the Italian-Chilean heritage of bar manager Sebastian Viguera, or fall in love with From Osaka with Amore, which mixes Tsukino Katsura nigori sake, lab-made sakura barley shochu, and Gucci’s osmanthus essence, made all the richer with fresh Hokkaido cream. Classics are available if you prefer not to be a follower of cocktail fashions. As one would expect in a concept from <a href="https://destinasian.com/singapore-dining-torno-subito" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Massimo Bottura</a>, the bar bites match the venue’s haute couture origins. —Alison Marshall
