<h2><strong>Why stay?</strong></h2>
<p>Wynn Palace delivers a dizzying <a href="https://destinasian.com/luxury-travel/spotlight/discover-macau" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Macau</a> casino experience, with top-to-toe glitz, more than 1,700 rooms, 14 dining and drinking outlets, a luxury shopping mall dotted with supercars, a “performance lake” with dancing fountains, and SkyCab—a cable car that makes its rounds entirely within the resort.</p>
<h3><strong>The neighborhood</strong></h3>
<p>Located at the still-developing northern end of the Cotai casino zone, Wynn Palace is a five-minute drive from Taipa Ferry Terminal. The adjacent, brightly lit mall is packed with all the luxury brands one might expect—Cartier, Gucci, Prada, Piaget—as well as random supercars and a display of Qing vases valued at over US$10 million. It takes 25 minutes to walk to The Parisian, The Londoner, and The Venetian on the most popular part of the strip, which makes the hotel feel a little cut off from the action. Free shuttle buses operate every 10 to 20 minutes between Wynn Palace, the downtown Wynn Macau, the ferry terminals, and the airport.</p>

<h4><strong>The feel</strong></h4>
<p>It’s not hard to spot The Wynn Palace—just look for the enormous performance lake and dancing fountains with cherry-red cable cars circulating above. Wynn’s largest property has a flower power theme and is so enormous it requires two lobbies: one adorned with a floriated Ferris wheel, the other with a rose-wreathed windmill. Interiors make you feel like you’ve fallen down the rabbit hole, with a Crayola-bright color palette mixed with mirrored walls, glittering arched ceilings, enormous displays of flowers, and golden dragons with glowing red eyes.</p>
<h5><strong>Guest quarters</strong></h5>
<p>This gargantuan hotel has 1,706 rooms spread over two 28-story V-shaped wings. Oversize rooms come in four different color schemes: gold, sunrise yellow, peacock green, and sunset orange, burnished with geometric patterns, white lacquer furniture, and Trumpian levels of gold trim, including gold-plastic toothbrushes, combs, and razors in the creamy Italian marble bathrooms. Other amenities include Bang &amp; Olufsen speakers, giant TVs (limited to mainly Chinese language channels) and minibars stocked with prawn crackers, a full-size bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold Reserve, and intimacy kits. The best rooms face the fountains, swimming pool, and cable car; the rest have uninspiring views of the airport and hotel ventilation systems.</p>
<h6><strong>Food and drink</strong></h6>
<p>Wynn Palace has 14 cafes, bars, lounges, and restaurants. The standouts are <a href="https://www.wynnresortsmacau.com/en/wynn-palace/dining/chef-tams-seasons" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Chef Tam’s Seasons</a>, an amber-hued cocoon where you’ll find contemporary Cantonese cuisine—char siu tarts, taro and smoked duck parcels, wagyu beef fried rice—and Japanese restaurant Mizumi, which has a splendid à la carte menu as well as sushi and teppanyaki dinner sets. Guests dress up for Maine lobster salad and applewood-smoked Chateaubriand at <a href="https://www.wynnresortsmacau.com/en/wynn-palace/dining/sw-steakhouse" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SW Steakhouse</a>, a sultry restaurant with midcentury-style banquettes, an easy listening soundtrack of Billy Joel and Fleetwood Mac, and a stage where whimsical vignettes created with animatronics and projection mapping is presented every 30 minutes.</p>

<h6><strong>Wellness factor</strong></h6>
<p>The spa—the largest in Macau—is a highlight, a wonderfully serene space decorated with peacocks, lotus flowers, and stone lions. Spacious treatment rooms have experience showers, steam rooms, and whirlpool baths, while the menu showcases an appealing range of traditional Chinese therapies, languorous massages, and anti-aging facials, delivered by expert Balinese therapists. Elsewhere, there’s a hair and nail salon, a small fitness center, and a large lagoon-shaped swimming pool with flowery tiling and cable car views. It’s worth noting that while the outdoor pool is open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the weekend, it doesn’t open until 12 p.m. on weekdays, which means no laps before check-out. The pool is also completely closed over the winter months.</p>
<h6><strong>Family matters</strong></h6>
<p>There isn’t a kids’ club or any family rooms, but interconnecting rooms are available and babies, toddlers, and children are provided with their own amenities (mini-bathrobes, slippers, coloring books, and teddy bears). Families can also enjoy the swimming pool, Skycab and the dazzling—if expensive—Illuminarium, a multisensory augmented reality experience.</p>
<h6><strong>Sustainability cred</strong></h6>
<p>The Wynn Palace has an enormous Nordaq water bottling plant, an AI-driven food waste monitoring program, and silver certification from EarthCheck, which appears to mean little when you consider how much plastic is still in use, from minibar items to small plastic bottles of toiletries, to plastic bags and amenities wrapped in layers of cellophane.</p>
<h6><strong>What else?</strong></h6>
<p>To beat the SkyCab queue, head to the departure point after 9:30 p.m. for the last go-arounds before closing time at 10 p.m. from Sundays to Thursdays. (Operating hours run until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.)</p>
