A carefully curated buffet, housed in its own room, opens up to a variety of dishes to cater for all tastes from hot local options to pastries or hummus and crudites. Lunch at <a href="https://www.ihg.com/hotelindigo/hotels/us/en/bintan/bnibb/hoteldetail/dining?destinasian">Ocean Market</a> can be as quick or languorous as time allows, from light options such as watermelon gazpacho or salads to seriously delicious <em>Bebek Betutu</em>: Balinese style duck bathed in spices and served with sambal and mixed vegetables. Dinner can be enjoyed at the same location (different menu) or at <a href="https://www.ihg.com/hotelindigo/hotels/us/en/bintan/bnibb/hoteldetail/dining?destinasian">Stix</a> where guests sit at a high counter surrounding the grill with a choice of skewers freshly cooked to order. Like all dining options here, it’s the chance to make the most of fresh local produce, the squid with garlic and ginger paste and XO sauce being the showstopper. Rounding off the meal a complementary dessert of grilled honey pineapple or sticky date pudding skewers take the theme to a sweet conclusion.</p>
<h6><strong>Wellness factor</strong></h6>

Even the running machines offer a view of the waves. Two sizeable swimming pools border the pristine beach. With plenty of seating, designed with privacy in mind, there are plenty of vantage points from which to enjoy the pool, and the waves. Any beach break is not complete without a relaxing spa treatment or two. The <a href="https://www.ihg.com/holidayinnresorts/hotels/us/en/bintan/bnibl/hoteldetail/amenities?destinasian" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sunjivva spa</a> at the next door hotel (same owner) is just a few minutes walk away (or transport can be provided) with excellent treatments that reputedly encourage guests  to travel across the island to enjoy. The <em>urut</em> traditional Malay massage is just one of a choice of five massages. The skilled therapist uses thumb and palm movements in a deeply relaxing massage that manages to calm and rejuvenate at the same time. A wellness facility offering treatments such as cryotherapy is on the cards for Hotel Indigo later this year.</p>

<p>The hotel has a sustainable glass water bottling plant, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to single-use plastic bottled water. The purified water meets World Health Organization (WHO) standards while significantly reducing single-use plastic waste and lowering the hotel’s carbon footprint. The hotel also works with locally based Seven Clean Seas, an ocean impact organization, to collect plastic waste. Plastic bottle tops are also repurposed into coasters and used at the hotel’s <a href="https://www.ihg.com/hotelindigo/hotels/us/en/bintan/bnibb/hoteldetail/dining?destinasian">Tiki Bar</a>, showcasing a commitment to sustainability which is integral to the property.</p>
