Thailand’s latest Andaz stands out for its park views, art, and mid-century modern stylings.

After making waves three years ago with the opening of a beachfront resort in Pattaya, it was only a matter of time before Andaz claimed its stake in <a href="https://destinasian.com/travel-guide/thailand/bangkok" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bangkok</a>’s highly competitive hotel scene. It did so at the end of 2025, when the brand launched the 244-room <a href="https://www.hyatt.com/andaz/en-US/bkkaz-andaz-one-bangkok?DestinAsian" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Andaz One Bangkok</a> (from US$380 a night), taking over one of the gleaming towers that make up the <a href="https://www.onebangkok.com/en/?DestinAsian" target="_blank" rel="noopener">One Bangkok</a> mega-development. The location, facing the tropical sprawl of Lumphini Park and close to the 1960s apartment blocks lining Wireless Road, sets the tone for the hotel’s design.
Curved arches soften the high-ceilinged lobby, while the rooms and suites—each one angled to make the most of those park views—come furnished with warm woods, sunshine-yellow fabrics, and mid-century modern–styled chairs and sofas. Subtler, still, are the nods to vernacular details such as artworks inspired by wrought-iron window grilles and metal shophouse shutters.
Local artists, too, found their muse close to home. Inside the lobby, a wall-spanning textile piece by Ploenchan Vinyaratn draws the eye with loops and tassels that mimic electric wiring, while at the entrance, Pinaree Sanpitak’s installation of monochrome photographs paired with old transistor radios references <a href="https://destinasian.com/travel-guide/thailand" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Thailand</a>’s first radio station, which once stood next door (the reconstructed building is now a museum).
The restaurants, by contrast, draw on flavors from abroad: Jing is a marble-clad, light-filled space devoted to dim sum and Sichuan dishes with a proper kick—influences that spill over into the breakfast spread of fish congee and shumai dumplings over at the all-day Andaz Terrace. Crowning the hotel is Piscari, a jewel box of a bar and restaurant that pairs dazzling top-floor views with live DJ sets and a Mediterranean-leaning menu of seafood platters, fresh oysters, and clam pastas. (Try the Ibérico pork pluma with hazelnut gremolata and the basil-forward red prawn carpaccio.) Those in the know ask for a seat at the hush-hush speakeasy, hidden just behind the kitchen’s pass-through.
Down on the seventh floor, an airy covered terrace opens out to the infinity pool, where scene-stealing vistas of Lumphini Park draw swimmers to the water’s edge as the sun sets. Suave and retro-chic, this new Andaz fits Bangkok to a tee.
