Rosewood has a group-wide Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Certification and a prestigious three-star rating by The Sustainable Restaurant Association’s Food Made Good Standard in October 2024. It is the first hotel in Cambodia and within the <a href="https://www.rosewoodhotels.com/en/phnom-penh?DestinAsian">Rosewood Hotel</a> Group to achieve this. A 50-square-meter hydroponic Sky Farm supplies 70 percent of the leafy vegetables and herbs used here. More than 80 percent of ingredients are sourced from local producers who follow ethical and sustainable practices.
Sora bar recently won the Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award 2025. In addition to working with local NGOs, the bar’s delicious example of sustainability is in the zero-waste Sora Martini. This classic has a local twist: Sora’s own vermouth, created with leftovers from the Rosewood kitchens paired with orange pulp and peel and native Kampot pepper.
<h6>What else?</h6>
Details are key, aside from those you would expect from a luxury hotel i.e. turndown service with artisan chocolates and impeccable service, the extras are what really make it. For example if you leave your sunglasses on the side you will come back to the room to find a cleaning cloth alongside; it’s thoughtful gestures like this that make a difference.
