Who doesn’t love bars in unexpected places? This intimate speakeasy is hidden above a florist’s studio (guests ascend a spiral staircase) in hip Thonglor and takes inspiration from the Shakespeare play for which it is named. Beyond the main bar, another staircase leads up to a little gin lounge with a long L-shaped banquette where drinks might be accompanied by live jazz or a chill-out DJ set. Keep climbing and you’ll find the owner’s whisky vault. Cocktails in this magical fairyland are infused with flowers and botanicals like osmanthus, chamomile, and pandan leaf. Sip an elegant Drop of Enchanted—made with quince gin and sakura bitters—and maybe, like Oberon, you too will see Cupid flying “between the cold moon and the earth.” Or not. —Vincent Vichit-Vadakan
