Situated in an imposing 216-meter tower, and opened only in January 2025, this is the brand’s first foray into the Thai capital. The hotel is part of One Bangkok, the capital’s new world-class business and lifestyle destination. Guests loyal to the brand will experience a feeling of homecoming here. Step through the entrance hall and into a hotel with the feel of a modern-day grand house flooded with light from floor-to-ceiling windows. Black-and-white images of heritage Thai scenes sit comfortably alongside modern art, epitomizing the meeting of two civilizations that inspired the concept of the hotel, visualized by Chicago-based architects SOM and A49 from Thailand.</p>
<h3><strong>The Neighborhood</strong></h3>
<p>Part of the new One Bangkok development, The Ritz-Carlton sits on busy Wireless Road, counting graceful walled embassies among its neighbors. For those who enjoy shopping, this is the place to be. Mere steps from the hotel, the retail experience is unparalleled, from the everyday to ultimate luxury. Lumpini Park is just across the road, home to huge monitor lizards and early morning joggers. For cultural activities, the nearest place of worship is the Erawan Shrine, which is about five minutes by car.</p>

<h4><strong>The Feel</strong></h4>
<p>A blend of Thai tradition and global influence. Grand black-and-white house with a modern aesthetic, plush seating from lobby to lounge with standout art pieces and contemporary light fixtures. The expansive public spaces feel welcoming rather than imposing, with memorable elements at every turn, from the installation of elegant glass water lilies by renowned Thai glass artist Nathakorn Kanitvaranunthat to eye-catching floral arrangements. The attention to detail extends from the bronze-fluted welcome desk to the lotus-flower chandelier in the <a href="https://destinasian.com/bangkok-nightlife-caleo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Caleo</a> bar. Jewel-tone accents across the furnishings throughout the hotel give a sense of opulence.</p>
<h5><strong>Guest Quarters</strong></h5>
<p>Quietly luxurious, the interior decor creates a restful cocoon, from the main areas’ neutrals that carry on through to the bedrooms. Rooms with the best views were also designed with guest privacy in mind; blinds glide down at the touch of a button when required. A good night’s sleep is promised between Frette sheets, where toweling-lined Frette bathrobes and the latest Dyson hairdryer add to the spa experience. The marble bathrooms offer ample space, and Diptyque toiletries make daily rituals a joy. Home-from-home touches include a coffee maker and an honor bar. A nice turndown touch every night (in all room types) promises sweet dreams: a beautifully decorated pot containing a handmade treat with a neatly typed card explaining the local provenance. Even the smallest room, the Deluxe suite, is 50 square meters, with the Marigold and Amaranth suites boasting 127 square meters of luxe living space.</p>
<h6><strong>Food and Drink</strong></h6>
<p>From morning to night, no food option is beyond reach. The Ritz-Carlton has a fleet of kitchen staff and its own butchery and bakery. Lily’s (named in deference to the lily ponds traditionally found in Thai homes) covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with multiple stations and options, from local favorites to a classic Western breakfast, all expertly prepared with the best ingredients. The Thai milk tea croissants are a must. For classic French cuisine, guests can head to the modern glasshouse that contains <a href="https://destinasian.com/bangkok-dining-duet" target="_blank" rel="noopener" class="broken_link">Duet by David Toutain</a>, a memorable journey of French fine dining. <a href="https://destinasian.com/bangkok-nightlife-caleo" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Caleo</a>, the impressive hotel bar, is the place for pre-dinner drinks and postprandial nightcaps, making the most of the hotel’s bird’s-eye view of the park.</p>

<p>The large outdoor saltwater pool is flanked by cabanas and loungers, with enough parasols to provide shade when required. There’s a whirlpool, too. Water, sunscreen, and complimentary juice and snacks are offered on arrival. Simply turn up and enjoy the sun. A state-of-the-art gym is open 24 hours a day, while The Ritz-Carlton Spa provides a cocoon of rejuvenation with a wide range of treatments.</p>
<h6><strong>Family Matters</strong></h6>
<p>There’s a Kids’ Club for young ones (3-12) and a children’s pool. The Ritz Kids Safari package offers a safari afternoon tea and, to the envy of the grownups, an in-room night safari, where little ones can sleep in a tent for every night of their stay.</p>
<h6><strong>Sustainability Cred</strong></h6>
<p>Eco-initiatives kick in the moment guests are collected from the airport via the BMW i7 hotel limousine, a luxury electric service that reduces the hotel’s carbon footprint. The new building has technology on its side, with a high-performance facade improving insulation and reducing energy consumption. Smart lighting ensures efficiency while cooling energy from exhaust systems is reclaimed. In the guest rooms, curtains close to keep temperatures down, and lights switch off automatically when no one is in the room. No-plastic policies apply across the F&amp;B outlets and guest quarters. Diptyque toiletries are available in refillable bottles through a global partnership program specifically designed for The Ritz-Carlton; toothbrushes and razors are made from bamboo with recycled packaging in collaboration with Unilever. Responsible sourcing when it comes to ingredients is key, and tea and coffee blends are sourced from Thailand to reduce carbon emissions. Plant-based options encourage eco-conscious dining, while a semi–à la carte breakfast menu minimizes waste by allowing guests to order only what they need.</p>
<h6><strong>What Else?</strong></h6>
<p>Club rooms guarantee access to the Club Lounge on the 23rd floor, where breakfast, light lunch, and canapés are served—all with stunning views of the park. At 6 p.m. every night, staff perform an Elemental Ensemble at The Lumpini Terrace, showcasing traditional Thai culture inspired by the <em>klong yao</em> (long drum) performance as a warm local welcome. Top tip: Book an Amaranth Suite and languish in a bubble bath with a great view of Lumpini Park.</p>
