The hotel is a stone’s throw away from the bustling Silom and Ratchaprasong districts, yet thanks to its design and location within a verdant mixed-use development, is also an oasis.</p>
<h3><b>The Neighborhood  </b></h3>
<p>The property is in Sindhorn Village on the corner of Langsuan and Sarasin roads, two of <a href="https://destinasian.com/category/thailand/bangkok" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bangkok</a>’s most elite addresses, sharing a nearly eight-hectare plot with other hotels, residences, condominiums, a low-rise mall, and green spaces. Sindhorn Kempinski counts a fair share of Birkin-toting neighbors as regular guests at its restaurants and wellness center. It is also within walking distance to Lumpini Park, which, at 57 hectares, is Bangkok’s answer to New York’s Central Park. Also nearby is Benchakitti Park, billed as the most beautiful green space in town with its winding walking trails,  blossoming water lotus ponds, and mangrove forests.</p>

<h4><b>The Feel </b></h4>
<p>Sindhorn Kempinski makes a strong impression on guests the moment they set foot in its 15-meter-tall vaulted atrium, a soaring expanse filled with light. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors amplify the vast lobby and bring the lush greenery surrounding the hotel in—as if the larger-than-life statuesque floral arrangements do not already blur the line between the indoors and outdoors. A professional pianist can often be found playing the grand piano by the entrance, setting a relaxing tone for hotel guests upon arrival.</p>
<h5><b>Guest Quarters</b></h5>
<p>Starting at 66 square meters, entry-level Grand Deluxe rooms at Srindhorn Kempinski are the largest in the city. Interiors that incorporate Thai culture and history such as Benjarong ceramics with <i>pudtarn</i> flower motifs, and decorative tiles that echo those of Wat Ratchabophit, commissioned in the 1860s by King Rama V, root the hotel in the locale. Vivid pops of color from emerald and citrine cushions break the gray-and-white color palette and inject jewel-colored warmth into the rooms. The spacious bathroom is anchored by a large egg-shaped bathtub.</p>
<h6><b>Food and Drink </b></h6>
<p>All-day dining venue Flourish is Michelin-recognized and serves a heady selection of Thai and Middle Eastern classics. Chef Chatsorn Pratooma whips up a dish of stir-fried Thai milkweed flowers with fermented pork and prawns that marry well with Hom Mali rice. Breakfast presents a huge choice, ranging from eggs to cured meats, and seasonal fruits to patisserie. Japanese restaurant Izakaya Ki serves a comprehensive menu from sashimi to <i>donburi</i> (rice bowls); the trio of other on-site eateries includes a French bistro and a Swiss-German café.</p>

<p>Many locals come for the spa and fitness facilities. Sindhorn Wellness by Resense is an impressive 4,000-square-meter space spread over two floors with a cold chamber, tepidarium, salt sauna, Moroccan hammam, and Rasul mud room.  Those who love getting their laps in will enjoy swimming in the 25-meter cantilevered saltwater pool that overlooks the city. Les Mills classes are available live at the gym studio or via the in-room TV.</p>
<h6><b>Family Matters</b></h6>
<p>Bathrobes, dental kits and snacks are available for children on request. The spa also provides massages specially customized for kids using hypoallergenic products made with grape-seed oil.</p>
<h6><b>Sustainability Cred</b></h6>
<p>The property has a number of eco-credentials such as LEED Silver and EarthCheck Silver. Thanks to the undulating design of the atrium, the air that flows in substantially cools the interior, reducing the hotel’s dependence on air conditioning, and therefore, its carbon footprint.</p>
<h6><b>What Else?</b></h6>
<p>Those who enjoy the occasional cigar might want to check out La Casa del Habano, a cigar parlor tucked away in a corner of the Firefly Bar, which serves interesting cocktails with international flavors inspired by a firefly’s journey around the world. Over the Andes is a beautifully balanced concoction of pisco sour with accents of lime, apricot, and pink grapefruit.</p>
