Kiwi chef Tyler Preston’s mod-Asian menu is the legacy of time spent at Melbourne’s much-loved Chin Chin and Byron Bay’s Bang Bang. But things really get interesting—and tasty—when there’s a culinary twist: “fillet-o-fish” and tartar sauce in a steamed bao, beef rendang spring rolls, not-to-be-missed “curious burrata” served with zingy chilli oil and fresh-puffed roti delivered straight from the oven.
If the menu is perfect for sharing among big groups, the interior—with a long bar and exposed brick walls featuring paintings by respected <a href="https://destinasian.com/travel-guide/indonesia/bali">Balinese</a> artist Rizz—adds an air of sophistication that primes the place for a more intimate rendezvous.
