Organic and ethically made wearables at Meisou

A Kimono & Prabhu Aap Jago Cuff Bracelet from Meisou

Founded by Brazilian entrepreneur Jessica Multini, who left São Paulo a decade ago to discover a more purposeful life, this Ubud boutique came from her desire to share the benefits she gained from meditation. The sweet-smelling store boasts a collection of organic and ethically made objects and wearables. Down one side, a long rack showcases clothes made from natural fabrics and dyes; they’re arranged in a graduating palette of soft hues, making it easy to pair silk pyjama shorts with matching bikini tops, and camisoles with cotton kimonos and linen pants. Local labels include Loveka, Oy, Karma Free, and Meisou’s eponymous brand. On the other side of the store, glass-topped cabinets display earrings and necklaces from Bali brands Carina Hardy and Pablo Luna alongside Meisou jewelry like golden necklaces with inspirational Sanskrit script. Other wellness-focused finds include weighted eye masks, fabric-covered journals, essential oils, and big jars of sustainably made incense sticks. —Penny Watson
