This outfitter takes its guests on thrilling rides in the sidecar of a vintage Vespa, offering up a refreshing and intimate view of the Lion City of <a href="https://destinasian.com/category/singapore">Singapore</a>. British-born Hong Konger Simon Wong and sidecar maker Johnny Chen began running tours in 2018; today, the duo operates a fleet of 10 sidecars and scooters piloted by freelance drivers. Some of the older vehicles have been around as long as modern Singapore, and were made at the local Vespa factory before the city-state’s independence in 1965. History buffs are in for a treat—itineraries cover fascinating neighborhoods like Kampong Glam, Tiong Bahru and Tanglin, as well as Joo Chiat and Katong. On a two-hour heritage ride through the Civic District and Kampong Glam, expect to race down the streets and whizz past landmarks like the durian-shaped performing arts center on Marina Bay, the National Gallery, and the <a href="https://destinasian.com/singapore-hotels-the-fullerton-bay-hotel-singapore">Fullerton Bay Hotel</a>. The experience might include stops at a traditional tea shop in Arab Street for strong, frothy teh tarik (pulled tea) and the nearby third-generation perfumery Sifr Aromatics.
