Bali Dining

Enrico Bartolini has won more Michelin stars than any other Italian chef, and the Tuscan lends his name and creativity to the menu at this high-end yet homely Seminyak eatery, headed up by an Italian team. A billowing linen ceiling adds to the garden feel of the breezy veranda, while an open kitchen dominates the high-ceilinged dining area. Italian bins lead a considered wine list and the cocktail menu pairs classics with innovative but effective signatures, such as the Terra di Nascita, an implausibly palatable blend of beetroot, kaffir lime, amaretto, and more. On the food front, well-executed Italian crowd-pleasers sit alongside creative innovations, such as a buttery, creamy milk risotto (Risotto al Latte) with pulled pork and blackberries, or the deceptively simple Uovo, a slow-cooked egg served in a tangy pecorino sauce with crisp asparagus and cheese tuile. Leave room for the feather-light Spuma al Cioccolato, nestled on a powerhouse salted caramel gelato. —Theodora Sutcliffe
